Following the Flow of Change + Community

Hello Reader,

We hope this finds you well as you tend to your care this week.

From TanyaMarck:
“Ch-ch-ch-changes…" - thank you, David Bowie. Change is the medicine I’ve been feeling in multiple areas of my life.

In addition to my GAC surgery (Gracias for any donations to support my care) I’ve been navigating the changes that come with menopause. As a NB queer person who has had a hysterectomy, I am finding myself exploring another chapter with HRT (hormone replacement therapy).

Add to that layer the uncertainty and nuances we are experiencing as a collective = serving up a big old invitation to tend to our care.

One thing I know for certain, by design, this is not meant to navigate alone. We are called to connect the dots and find our people - thank you, Pluto in Aquarius.

Mercury, Venus and Uranus are moving into retrograde in the coming weeks, so I have begun to swim in the waters of RE- (review, reorganize, reevaluate) when it comes to my connections, resources and values. (Thank you Chani Nicholas for your astro wisdom and insights.)

I am curious: What care tools are calling to assist you in these processes?
What changes are coming your way, and how are you preparing to receive them?
And, in what ways are you exploring a sense of belonging through community?

(Speaking of Community - Please join us for a Care Circle this Sunday evening - more info below.)

From Nick:
This last weekend I attended one of my favorite events in San Francisco. Flower Piano is an annual event where pianos are sprinkled around the Botanical Garden inside Golden Gate park, and different artists perform a variety of music. You can wander from place to place and hear all kinds of music, while enjoying the beautiful gardens. It's a lovely free event that brings the community together to commune with nature, art and song.

I very much appreciate that this brings together two of my biggest sources of care - nature and music. I am so privileged and grateful for this event, and that I live so close to it.

As TM mentioned community above, I recognize that this is an easy way for me, as an introvert, to commune with my fellow San Franciscan's, nature and with creative expression.
